Laird, Baker & Blackstock – Firm Overview & Spotlight

Our Story: Experience Rooted in Results

Laird, Baker & Blackstock was founded on a simple but powerful idea: deliver big results with small-town values.

Attorney Wesley L. Laird, former President of  the Alabama Association for Justice (ALAJ), opened the firm in Opp, Alabama in 1987. In 1992, he was joined by David Baker, a seasoned litigator in criminal defense and domestic cases, originally from Birmingham. In 1996, Thomas A. “Andy” Blackstock, Jr., a farmer’s son from Opp with a passion for real estate and probate , became part of the team. Together, they formed Laird, Baker & Blackstock in 2000—and they’ve been fighting for the injured ever since.

Between them, the three partners bring over 100 years of combined legal experience, with proven results in complex litigation and personal injury law.
